I’ve installed subs in all my vehicles and plan to. I’m particularly interested in finding out the stereo wiring for the 11 Sync 4 system. Granted, I don't have a sunroof so if your truck has one then obviously that wouldn't be available lol. 2021+ Ford F150 - 2021 Basic sound system upgrade thread - Wanted to create a place for people to post any information or upgrades relating to the base stereo system on the ‘21s. Now if I were to do it again, or if I did a bit more poking around as homework instead of trying to get it done before the sun went down, I would've seen if I could use the pre-existing sunroof drain hole which was basically in the right area of where the power and ground cables essentially routed. Back in the frunk side of things, I basically ziptied the cables along the same path that the current 12v leads were going so there wouldn't ever be any issues of them being pulled right off the battery. Not that being better than the Sony is a high bar to clear. The roomy interior gives you lots of space for entertainment upgrades and the modular construction makes it easier to turn your dreams into reality. It can haul the kids to school and haul an old projection TV to the recycling center-on the same trip.
The B&O is the replacement for the Sony premium system in 2018 models, and to answer the question that always comes up: Yes, it is better than the Sony. The F-150 SuperCrew is a true do-anything truck.
Final install will include: Factory Nav System with Sync. Stereo/Audio - 2018 B&O Play upgrade: Part one - Finished part one of my B&O Play upgrade. as well as take the factory sub out and install dual 10s. I will keep the factory head unit and replace the front speakers. I know on my Silverado when i replaced everything. My question is if i replace all the speakers and add an amp on them where will the sync voice come from. I want to keep the factory headunit nav/sync but trash the sony stuff. The power/ground cables were placed in through the frunk, close up to the firewall under the AC lines, then routed behind the body mount right behind the wheel well, routed along the frame until getting to the area of the cab where they said to knock the two holes in for their grommets/firewall pieces. I have a 2010 F-150 Platinum Supercrew with the Sony system, Nav and SYNC. I am planning a full stereo upgrade in my 2010 lariat. I replaced all six speakers with Kickers and added a center speaker and the optional OEM Kicker subwoofer.
